River Terrace - community planning for Tigard's western boundary

The River Terrace Community Plan is an effort by the city to put into place the appropriate zoning and regulations, natural resource protections, infrastructure plans and a financing strategy to allow the successful development of 500 acres on the city’s western border from rural to urban use. The community plan builds upon the West Bull Mtn. Concept Plan completed by Washington County.  Learn more about the area at
The city is hosting its 3rd River Terrace community meeting on December 13, beginning with a brief presentation at 5:45 p.m. followed by a drop-in open house from 6 - 7:30 p.m. at the Tigard Public Library Community Room. Stop by to see what the city has completed, what’s underway and plans for future development.
At this point, the River Terrace Community Plan project is about midway through the planning process for housing, parks, utilities, and more. There will be opportunities for participants to ask questions or to share thoughts and concerns.
