Free Prescription Discount Card
The National League of Cities (NLC) offers a free prescription discount card to help residents save money on the high cost of prescription medications. Use the card anytime your prescriptions are not covered by insurance.
There is no cost for the NLC member cities like Tigard. NLC offers the program in conjunction with CVS Caremark Corp. and the card is accepted at most major retail pharmacies– Fred Meyer, BiMart, Costco, Walgreens, Wal-Mart and Rite-Aid.
Residents may use the discount card anytime their prescription is not covered by insurance. The discount is not valid on over-the-counter and non-prescription medications with the exception of some diabetic supplies.
Visit http://www2.caremark.com/nlc/ to sign up for a card or learn more about the program.
Cards are available in the Tigard City Hall lobby, Permit Center and Tigard library. If you go online (to the address above) you can print out a card and begin using it right away.
