Hello Tigard Walkers!

If you’re not busy this weekend, join me for a Tigard Walk!

The June 13 walk starts at 10 a.m. at Metzger Elementary School (10350 Lincoln St, Tigard).  Everyone is welcome to join me and in honor of Flag Day, participants will receive a special tchotchke in honor of the day. The map is coming soon and if you’d like to check it out from home, log onto the Tigard Walks web page at http://www.tigard-or.gov/community/tigard_walks.php

Join me in July for a couple of walks – If you ever wanted to walk in a parade, here’s your chance!  Bring friends and family and join me for the Middle of Millen Drive Independence Day Parade on July 4 at 4 p.m. I’ll be the one with the Tigard Walks parade float attached to tennis shoes! The gathering spot is Millen Drive/92nd Ave, across from the Tigard High School baseball fields. The parade route is only 7/10 of a mile, but a float-load of fun!

On Saturday, July 18 at 10 a.m. we’re walking the Tigard Triangle. (Map is coming soon)

The walk starts at the office park building on Hampton Street (opposite Lowes) and winds thru the Tigard Triangle. It’s quiet within the business park on a Saturday and it’s a nicely shaded and songbird-filled walk.

See you on the sidewalks!
