Tigard is on tonight's Oregon Field Guide!

Tigard’s Surface Water Quality staffer Carla Staedter said the city is featured in a story about Urban Beavers on OPB’s Oregon Field Guide tonight - Thursday, October 22 at 8:30 p.m. 

OPB interviewed Tigard staff and the neighbors to see how the city deals with this industrious creature.  Vince Patton, the OFG Producer said it will repeat the following Sunday at 6:30 p.m. on channel 10 or after the story airs, it will be viewable on the OPB website: www.opb.org/programs/ofg

Crosswalks and When to Stop for Peds...

With an increasing number of pedestrians on our roads (yeah!) the city filmed a Public Service Announcement (PSA) about crosswalks called “Every intersection is a crosswalk”.

Free Concert at the Library


The Tualatin Valley Community Band will perform a free Halloween Concert on Sunday, October 25 at 3 p.m., at the Tigard Public Library, 13500 S.W. Hall Boulevard, Portland, OR, 97223 in the Burgess Community Room.

The concert will feature Halloween themed pieces; “Funeral March of a Marionette,” “Toccata and Fugue in D Minor,” “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” and other songs we all knew as kids! Dress up in a Halloween costume and join us for this family friendly concert.
